I'm used to being able to swipe, or hold, to reply to a specific message within a DM or group chat across other chat apps. It would be great to be able to do the same thing in Onin chats.

It would be great to be able to write notes within the event details e.g. for a loose agenda, or to do's. For example, if I'm scheduling going shopping with my parter, I could write my list within the event notes.

If you work inconsistent days it would be nice to create an event and add it to several days without making an individual event for each day. Create event work. Add it to MTW one week, then WRF the next

It's fun to count the days down to big events like holidays or deadlines. Favouriting an event could include these on new widgets that show a countdown until the next favourited event

I was just added to an event and went into the info screen to see the date/time, but I had to exit the chat and go back to my calendar to check if I'm available. It would be great when added to a new event to be able to see my calendar for that day

If I'm chatting in a group, it's handy to be able to @ a person. If I'm speaking to someone/a group and I want to reference an event, being able to @ the event and have a clickable link to the event details would be awesome.

Would be great if you could tag multiple groups when adding an event for times where a family group is attending the same event as a relationship group for example. At the moment you have to duplicate an event by hand

There's no need for a hard dependency on Google's Play Store and Play Services. Develop the app in the open, and publish nightly releases on Github.

I know you can see when a message is sent, but it would be useful to clarify if it has been delivered to the recipient's device.

It's really helpful to be able to see these things, and we're very used to having these features from existing chat apps.
