Time

Dear OurCal,

Selecting a time for an event is frustrating. The time is never close to what one wants it to be so therefore the scroll wheel is used. Scrolling through at speed to the time required will often close the window, if it isnt stopped in time. Meaning having to start again in selecting the time. Please stop that from happening and/or allow manual imput.

Otherwise, I love the app and it has helped my family organise our life. It is especially good for me as I frequently forgot about my duties, leading to friction between my wife and I.

Sorry the time picker has been frustrating. Good news: you can already type the time in manually. When you create a new event, use the Auto-Fill Details box at the top of the screen and type something like “Football practice Saturday 10:15am 1h”. OurCal will fill in the title, day, time and duration for you, so you can skip the scroll wheel entirely.

We’re also fixing the issue you spotted, so the picker won’t close by accident while you’re scrolling. While we’re at it, we’re tidying up a couple of other things on that screen too, including making it clearer which field you’re editing.

Thank you for your quick reply.

I found the auto-fill feature intermittent. Sometimes it would work but often not, but maybe I wasn’t imputing the correct format. The next time I will give it a go again.
